ARGH!!! We spent $6,000 for the back patio with drainage. We spent an unholy amount to finish the basement. And then it rains...and rains...and rains....three days straight of unrelenting rain. Then on the third night it happens...water gushes into the basement...onto the new pergo floor. It takes some of Nana and Bobbobs belongings with it... Our poor contractor (and friend) comes over to help clean up the mess and we all hang our heads in sorrow. The floors are now buckled and warped but we did manage to dry out everything (thank goodness for rental stores and large dehumidifiers). Soooooo...... now we will have a plumber friend come and put another sump pump in. ARGH!!!
